It was hard saying goodbye to Shanghai Dumpling in Cupertino, but in its place on Bollinger Rd. can be found a very worthy replacement.
Today for lunch I got the Singapore Fried Vermicelli, which was delicious. Tyler got the Pineapple Fried Rice, which had a very similar flavor to the vermicelli dish. Jenny got the Fried Pearl Noodle, which was descried as having "mouse tail" noodles, a description as accurate as it is unappetizing. The point I want to make, though, is all the dishes were loaded with protein. All three above were also $13 each.
Shown here is Dylan's Rendang Chicken, featuring lemongrass in tasty abundance, which he cleaned up. This dish was also $13, but keep in mind it's highly advised you get a bowl of rice with it, which is another $2.
The Roti Prata features a thin, stretchy sheet bread that's presented like a small parachute comes with a can't-get-enough peanut curry sauce. It's hard do imagine a better appetizer value for $4.
